Tony died of an apparent heart attack in Michigan. I was notified a little while ago by his close friend George Field. As of now there is no obit but George will forward when he gets it. Tony is survived by his wife Belinda( no children). Retired from hotel industry. Will let you know when I get more information. Tony went all the way through school with me. We were close in Jr High.

I'm sorry to hear of Tony's passing. He was in my homeroom for every year I was in school. His Dad used to race at the local drag strips (J stock - not very fast). Tony and I were the "ace" mechanics in his pit crew, even though neither of us knew how to change a tire. I was able to reconnect with Tony at the 50th reunion, and we had a lively conversation about the "good old days". My sincerest sympathy to Tony's family.

Tony (David Carlisle Laughlin) and his wife Belinda, had just recently moved to Las Cruces NM full time, from their home in Mt Pleasent MI. They had been splitting their time between the two locations for a few years. Following a heart attack and surgery, Tony passed unexpectedly on Tuesday April 19, 2022. Though our lives and vocations took us in many an opposite geographic direction, our paths seemed to intersect again and again. Grateful I am for those times, I will sorely miss him. Tony was one of the really good guys. We spent a lot of time together with our cars, going on road trips to Ft. Erie to get our skates sharpened and bring back equipment that was more costly on our side of the boarder going to races and of course to Pat's for a hot dog and to hang with other car nuts. Thanks to the reunion we were able to reconnect and catch up. He had a good group of friends who I'm sure will miss him.

Rest in peace my friend!

Paul
