Our classmate, Marlene (Chunky)Nocera passed away on December 23, 2021.
Chunky had Parkinson's Disease for many years. According to her son Kevin's Facebook page, she contracted Covid while rehabilitating from a recent surgery. She and her husband William celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversity on December 3, 2021
I remember Chunky fondly as being such fun and a joy to be around.

Chunky and I were friends. She was a joy to be around. I have always remembered a time when she and I were in a math class... algebra as I recall... at the beginning of the year our teacher ... Mr. Schmidt went around the room asking each of us to introduce ourselves... when it was Chunky's turn to introduce herself she did so by referring to herself as " Chunky ".... Mr. Schmidt ask why she referred to herself that way.... and... as though it were yesterday I remember her response to him..... " I don't know... I guess the name just grew on me "... anyone who knew the wonderful person she was will miss her dearly....

I am so sad to lose another classmate. I remember Chunky well. Lots of laughs with her.

I don't know of anyone who enjoyed life more than Chunky. She broughtf joy to all of her relationships. She was friends with everyone. I'm so saddened to hear that she struggled with Parkinson's. She is now at peace. Spread your wings Chunky and fly freely. Prayers to her husband and son.
