I didn't really know George in high school but got to know him while working at Kenmore East. He was a kind, gentle, gentleman. He was a beloved teacher who gave his all to his students. He was a religious man and a wonderful family man. I'm sorry I didn't know him better sooner.

I think it is about time that I enter a comment about my best friend George Deck. We were friends since first grade at Hoover Elm. We lived one block apa rt on Zimmerman Blvd and we carried our friendship on through our school years and into our family building years. George and I were each other's best man and both he and his wife (Sharon Sepp) inttoduced my to my wife Janet (Ken East 64). We remained close until he lost his battle with cancer. I was present at his funneral and he is layed to rest not far from where we used to play near Conway Field. His grave stone is very close to where we had our tree fort in Conway Woods. My wife and I still keep intouch with his wife Sharon. I do miss my dear friend very much. Rest in Peace George, I know you smile at me from God"s Holy Place.
