I have thought of you often over the years, we shared many good times, and some that were not so good.  I will miss you old friend.  May you rest in peace.

Fred and I grew up near Thurston Playground and we used to play pick-up games of baseball, and football, and anything else we could play there.  George Hanson, Chuck Ackerman, Mike Gross, Bob Hagan, Denny Bell,  Butch Allen and many others played there, and it was fun regardless of what the game was that we were playing.  Fred was big, and strong, and a really good competitor.  We played morning to night.  As we got older, we played on the neighborhood team, and he could hit a baseball a long, long way.

He was genuinely a really good guy, and I'm sure he was a great  husband and father.  RIP, Fred, you'll be missed.
