Hodges, age 65, of Tonawanda, died Sunday, March 20, 2011, at Kenmore Mercy Hospital, after a long illness. Born in Corning, NY, he was the son of the late Charles and Gertrude (nee Brockett) Hodges and had been a resident of Tonawanda for the past 30 years. Mr. Hodges was employed at Luvata in Buffalo before retiring, had been active in scouting, and was an avid crafter and woodworker. He is survived by his wife, Shirley (nee Sutter) Hodges; a son, Steven (Kelli) Hodges; two grandchildren, Madalyn and Lorelei; a sister, Dorothy (Carl) Grohman; and two nephews, Sean (Carrie) Grohman and Chad (Kerry) Grohman. The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM on Wednesday at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., 37 Adam Street at Seymour, Tonawanda, where a memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday.
