The Whiteheads lived next door to the Morgans, on Irving Terrace, while growing up and were good friends.  Now he and Cheryl Morgan have both passed.  The world won't be the same without each of you.  You are missed! RIP

After I moved back to Kenmore,  Jim lived a couple houses away from me on Irving Terrace.  It was really good to see him again, and he never failed to make me laugh.  Seeing him at the 25th reunion, and especially at the 26th,  is a memory that makes me smile every time I look at the pictures, and/or hear the Supremes.  You are missed, Jim, rest in peace.

John

There was never a better looking Gladys Knight than at the 26th.  Everytime I drive by his old house it makes me sad but so happy to have known him.

I agree Jim was a terrific Gladys.   Always a lot of fun.  Jim always seemed happy. He is missed.

I have fond memories of Jim who someone (maybe Jim McGarry) nicknamed, "Whitebread" and recall seeing him last at the 25th.  Like many people, Jim's house had a finished basement.  In 1967 probably in the summer, I bought the Jimi Hendrix album, "Are You Experienced" which had many great tunes including "The Wind Cries Mary."  One afternoon, a group of us repaired to Jim's basement to listen to the album and smoke some type of weird ciragette shaped item with twisted ends.  We created our own purple haze right there in the basement.  My guess is that in addition to Whitebread and me the group included some or all of Jim McGarry, Jim Hollister, Jeff Citron and Steve Collins.  Rest in peace my friend, Jim.

When I think of Jim, I remember a incredibly happy and fun loving guy.  He just loved life. loved his friends, and didn't want to get too serious about what he couldn't control.  And totally uninhibited as to what others might think - in a good way.  As an example, Whitbread (thanks Jim Godry!) loved cars, and had many.  But none too fancy.  But that wouldn't stop him from taking his cherished Alpine (not a Tiger with a Ford V-8, remember) or his six cylinder Chevy II to the Niagara Dragstrip and post 24 second ETs and a measured speed of 54 mph!  He just sitting in the pits with the Cobras, Hemi's, and Vettes with a huge smile on his face.  We and our friends always had a great time together, and I was fortunate to continue to see Jim  throughout the years.  Rest in Peace, our Friend.
