DANA - Robert J.
Of Kenmore, at age 76 years, entered into rest peacefully on September 22, 2022. Beloved husband of nearly 55 years to Louise (nee Ball) Dana; loving father of Brian Dana and Craig (Molly) Dana; cherished grandpa of Gus and Oliver Dana; dear son of the late Samuel and Helen (nee Sunders) Dana; caring brother of Margaret (Wayne) Knodel; beloved uncle of many nieces and nephews; survived by many friends and neighbors. Friends may call at D. LAWRENCE GINNANE FUNERAL HOME, 3215 Delaware Ave., Kenmore, Tuesday, 3-7 PM. All are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, Englewood Ave., at Highland Pkwy., Tonawanda Twp., Wednesday at 10:45 AM. Please meet at church. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Bob was a 1964 graduate of Kenmore West High School. He was a teacher and DECA Club Advisor at Williamsville North High School for over 30 years. He was Adjunct Professor at Buffalo State College and served at School Board President Trustee for the Ken-Ton School District. He cared deeply for all his students, family and friends. Tom Grabenstatter
Bob and I met as members of the Ken West wrestling team, and grew to be good friends. We hung out at Bob's parents house and in the surrounding neighborhoods through high school. After graduation, college took us in different directions and we lost touch. Today, with email and texting service it's much easier to stay connected. Bob was a teriffic guy back then and I know he would have remained so thrugh life. I know his family will miss him greatly. My sympathy to those who loved him. Tom Grabenstatter, Columbus, OH.
