What a shock. Dave and I were good friends starting from 8th grade at Kenmore Junior. He and I were on the swimming (diving) team together for 4 years, and he taught me how to pole vault our junior year. He proved to be the best in the league at this event as a senior and contributed to the track championship for West in 1964.

Rest in Peace dear old friend.

I knew Dave as a member of the track team. I ran track my Junior and Senior years at West. Dave was a four year track star. A great competitor, athlete, and person. I admired him greatly.

Very sad to read of Dave's death.  When I walked to West, I always stopped to pick up Dave and John Healy on Stillwell.  Often, we'd also be joined by John Silsby.  Dave was a really good fellow.  Took a special kind of guy to dive and excel at pole vault.

I remember Dave as an outstanding teammate with a good sense of humor.  And could he ever get his body over that bar!  He was one of the keys to our winning the Sectionals.  Sadly, another good person gone.
