Great picture George of John's 63 Corvette.
I got to know John pretty well, as he sat in front of me in Jasper Palmers biology class. We both were into cars and drag racing, so we always had something to talk about before (and during I am afraid) class.
Anyone who had Mr. Palmer might remember how would wander the class as we worked on things and would often mutter a comment. John and I were checking out the latest issue of Hot Rod Magazine one day.
Mr Palmer walks buy and says "gees, get the carburetors off the desk". It was all John and I could do to not laugh out loud.
John was great with race cars, a talent he shared with his brother and that he also passed on to his son.
A good guy, RIP my friend!

Good storey Tony, and well put. Jason is still racing the car, and is an impressive young man.
